Shaker Hill Granite was founded by Rob Malz in 2014. With many years’ experience in the stone industry, my family and I made the decision to purchase Shaker Hill Granite from Rob and his wife Laurie upon their retirement in 2024.
As the current owner of Shaker Hill Granite, I’m committed to providing the best possible service to our customers. Under my leadership, I make sure we provide the same great service that our customers have come to expect over the years.Our commitment to a family atmosphere in the workplace is the key to our success. As a business owner I feel very lucky to have the staff that is at Shaker Hill Granite, who take such pride in their work. Some of our employees have been with the company 15+ years!

I started in the stone industry as a machine installer in 2006 working with hundreds of stone shops around North America. After nearly a decade I decided it was time to stop traveling and start spending more time with family.
I took a job with a prominent stone shop in my area to help them move into the Digital Age. I worked for them for 6 years and that allowed me to further expand my knowledge of the industry.
I maintained my connections with the various shops I worked in, occasionally moving or maintaining their equipment. This is how I met Rob Malz.

John Napsey
Project Manager
John has a passion for the art of custom cabinetry. His thoughtful and creative designs, combined with his knowledge of cabinetry construction, will change your cabinetry and kitchen dreams into reality.
His work has been featured in American Bungalow, Design New Jersey, New Hampshire Home and The Food Network.
Over the years, John has enjoyed volunteering countless hours to many different organizations with the goal of making his community a better place for his wife and 3 children. In his down time, he enjoys going to auctions in search of antiques and historical documents.
